Housed on the Rooftop terrace of the 1923 Associate Mission Building, the 8 ½ Terrace Bar is about to reopen!  

Starting from May 8th, it will be opening daily from 5pm to 1am, ready to welcome guests from aperitivo time.

Leading the Bar team this year is talented mixologist Domenico Carella, chosen for 2015 as one of the top promising bartenders in Italy by “Bargiornale”, the most respected Italian bartending publication.

Domenico’s philosophy when it comes to cocktails is to pour an experience, a drink that can shake your mind and emotions away from your routine to conquer you with a unique flavor, a special ingredient, an intriguing texture.

He joins the team as mixologist and, together with creative bartender Declan Tang promises to mix outstanding creations, either from the new cocktail list or tailor made based on one’s taste.

 

The 8 ½ Terrace Bar will be serving a small but delicious food selection for those who want to have a bite in a more informal environment.

Enjoy your drink and relax with the sight of the old and new Shanghai, from the Waibaidu Bridge and the Russian Embassy, to the Pudong skyline.

 

The Terrace area is also available to be privatized for cocktail and dinner events.
